Benefits of Permanent Makeup
- Posted on: Feb 15 2019
The idea of having great brows and eyes, or lips and cheeks, for that matter, is not new. Historically, we have enhanced facial attributes using makeup products like lipstick, eyeliner, and brow liner. Permanent solutions are not new, but they continue to get our attention from time to time. At the moment, full, lush brows are all the rage and we are consistently consulting with clients about how to obtain lasting enhancement with permanent makeup.
Permanent makeup is not literally permanent. The pigment that is inserted typically lasts about 10 years in most cases. This can be a good thing because, years from now, if trends change and you want to change along with them, you have the opportunity to do so. In the meantime, your face can look fresh and ready at all times. Who doesn’t love the sound of that?
Aside from providing beautiful, natural-looking enhancement, permanent eyebrow and eyeliner makeup also address specific concerns, ranging from medical conditions to convenience.
Permanent makeup can:
- Reduce the effects of medical conditions. Permanent eyebrows may be created for people who have alopecia or whose hair has been affected by chemotherapy. Permanent pigments may also be a wonderful solution for individuals with muscular disorders who have difficulty applying makeup due to muscle spasms or stiffness that makes it difficult to hold makeup applicators.
- Reduce spending on cosmetics. If your brows are always on point, you have no need to purchase the latest pencils, gels, and brushes. If you also select permanent makeup for forever eyeliner or lip pigments, your savings increase.
- Give yourself the gift of time. Let’s face it, we haven’t all been bestowed the gift of makeup application. If you didn’t get that gene that allows you to perfectly line your eyes and enhance your brows, you may spend an extraordinary amount of time applying your makeup. Permanent makeup can leave you with nothing more than the task of cleansing, moisturizing, and possibly applying a bit of shadow to your lids, saving you time and unnecessary frustration.
- Immediately change your look. No one really likes to wait to see their desired outcome from cosmetic treatment. With permanent makeup, you don’t have to. As pigment is applied, our expert provider can observe the change and, as soon as treatment is complete, so can you.
We have taken every precaution to make sure your foray into permanent makeup is safe (no iron oxide) and comfortable (local anesthetic)! To learn more, contact our Aurora med spa at (720) 280-7016.
