Exciting! Ali had Kybella injected under her chin!

“It was finally my turn to have Kybella injected! Although I typically do my own injections, this wasn’t one I looked forward to doing on myself as I can’t exactly see under my chin very easily! So, I trusted Dr. Gregory Buford, the medical director for Always Beautiful Medspa, to help me lose my chin fullness and create my chiseled chin profile!
It was really simple and only took a few minutes. I used a topical numbing cream, then we applied the temporary tattoo to give us easy placement for quick injections. There were about 20 small injections which only took a minute or two then I applied ice packs on each side for a few minutes. There was really no pain during the injections!
About a minute or two after the injections, I began to have a dull ache in my chin area that lasted a couple of hours and it was probably a 3 on a pain scale of 1-10. It gave me a good excuse to sit on the couch with my 4 year old and watch a movie! During that time, it started going numb which was an odd sensation but better than the dull achy feeling.
The next 2 days, I noticed a slight discomfort to the touch as I could feel the area becoming even more numb. By day 4, my chin had no pain or discomfort whatsoever and felt very numb to the touch. I felt like my chin area was swollen but no one around me could tell I had even had it done! That’s not always the case for everyone as swelling is your friend helping rid the body of the unwanted fat, but for me, my swelling has been very minimal and by 10 days post, it appears almost back to normal. I can still feel a little numb but I am starting to feel normal again.
I am planning to have my 2nd treatment 8-12 weeks later and will keep you all posted on the outcome! I expect it to take one more treatment at least and I look forward to showing you all my amazing results!
