How long does Botox last?
- Posted on: Sep 17 2014
I hear a lot of different opinions about how long people believe Botox will last. Some say 3 months, others say 6 months; so I wanted to give a better understanding and some clarity to this range in outcomes.
Allergan, the company who makes Botox, requests that we do not inject sooner than 90 days after the last injection date. The very first time you have Botox done, it’s very rare that it will even last up until your next appointment 90 days later. I recommend that you come in consistently, every three months, as your Botox will begin to build on itself and you will see longer lasting results each time. This means, you can achieve longer periods of time between your injection visits with lasting results, if you have been consistent and allowed the Botox to build in those areas. This is why we always pre-book for your next appointment. Don’t want to lose that investment! If for some reason you get off your schedule, you will expect that you’ll be starting over, in a sense, to rebuild those results and get your lasting effects back to where you want them to be.
